Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

So this place is........not sure. All I can say is that since I am out of state I can finally see how hardcore the founding state takes this place. I personally believe their burritos are too big and not filled with enough beef or meat of your choice. But I did not let this drive me away. I now order the taco's and am never disappointed. It's all a matter of finding your desired menu item. And once you find it.....You probably won't order anything else.

I got the 3 taco combo with chicken, steak, and barbacoa and it was AMAZING! They ran out of rice so I decided to try the tacos. They also compensated everyone with free chips and guacamole! And a buy one get one free coupon! I'm sold! Definitely coming back :)

Chipooootle. Not sure why we decided to stop here but we did. I like chipotle, but the mister was never much of a fan. He got a bowl with steak and a tortilla on the side while I just got a kids chicken quesadilla. I wasn't too hungry and I know their bowls are huge! The guy in front of me ordered the largest burrito I've ever seen someone order. Poor employees were trying to figure out how to wrap it because the guy insisted on having it wrapped rather than bowling it with a tortilla on the side. Clean, fast, tasty. No complaints from me!

Always a solid choice for lunch or dinner. All of the meats are seasoned well and the guacamole is top notch.

Chipotle is always our first stop after a 26hr flight visiting home. Although their food is free range (and delicious!) they have to put something in there to make it so addictive! Special shout out to this stores staff for their exceptional service. Thank you for providing us our "Chipotle fix."

Mmmmm.... chipotle. Love they are baby friendly with high chairs, and healthy food you can share.

Let me start off by saying that I love Chipotle - usually. However, this location in Colorado Springs really lacks a certain quality on the weekends and our visit last night was very disappointing. The guac, which you pay almost $2 extra for, had obviously been sitting out all day - and might have even been a batch from yesterday. The food was just luke-warm, which was kind of gross for a burrito bowl. I echo the sentiments of many other people who have reviewed Chipotle - the difference between a "meh" experience and a "wow" one is who is working at the time you come in. In that regard, do not visit the Chipotle on North Nevada at 6 pm on a Sunday night.

I generally like Chipotle as an inexpensive place to get a quick, flavorful lunch. Something wasn't quite "on" with this location, however. The food tasted rather "flat", as if someone forgot the spice canisters at home! Will always give Chipotle another chance to redeem itself...and in fact I went to the Boulder location the next day and had a very tasty veggie burrito bowl. So...I won't punish this location with less than 3 stars and since I'll be travelling to the Springs more often for work, I'll give this another shot in a few weeks.

Well I love chipotles burritos normally and my boyfriend and I used to be regulars at this particular location, came here at least 3 times a week if not more! we went to this chipotle today and the blonde girl messed up wrapping My boyfriends burrito.... but we didn't think it was that bad, the curly haired manager man was watching her the whole time so we figured maybe it wasn't that messed up.. well we get home and there's his burrito falling apart, wasn't even close to being wrapped and leaked all over mine and made mine soggy PLUS I eat vegan and there's chicken bean juice all over my burrito! We go back and let the manager know, he allows us to get new burritos and has the same girl take our order and make our burritos... And she fails at wrapping My boyfriends burrito again... and she was gonna put it in the foil after terrible wrapping and My boyfriend actually had to let her know she needs to wrap that one in another tortilla shell... she was just gonna leave it falling apart again. The manager was there the whole time... No excuses. I work in a restaurant and that is just pure ignorance and lack of care. get a new job if you don't want to serve quality food to your customers. They were friendly but definitely need retraining.... And I'll add our last visit wasn't particularly wonderful either because every girl on the line looked angry or bored or unfriendly.. Sad because this was a very conveniently close location to our apartment but we will not be returning to this location again after going here lots over the last month...

Chipotlé is one of my favorite chains. Cause it's not really a chain. They have a different mentality from a lot of chains. Plus, they were started in Colorado, which is cool. Going to Chipotlé is almost always good, if you know what to get. I used to get the steak burritos, but I just can't anymore--the steak is just too fatty. So instead, I get the Barbacoa (beef) and it's always good. It totally depends on who's behind the line, whether you have a good burrito or an *excellent* burrito. Some people barely toss any meat on a relatively meager amount of rice, as they try to shove you through the line as fast as possible. Some people are generous with portions. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Some are just better than others. You've probably never seen people move so fast. You better get your order perfect, otherwise you find that you've been shoved down the line and they've already swiped your card, and your head is spinning trying to comprehend what just happened. This is a very bad place to go to meet someone, as the stainless-steel furniture and walls and the high ceilings make it *extremely* loud. You almost have to yell to be heard by someone sitting across from the table. There are a few tables outside, but in the wintertime, it's too cold. There's a big lunch rush around noon, and it seems all the students from Palmer High School swarm to Chipotle. This is fine, but it makes the place so full that you may be standing in line behind 50-75 rowdy high schoolers. Which means a long, loud wait. And like most other joints downtown, there's no wi-fi, which is a bummer. In summary: good food, bad ambiance. Best to get it to go.

I effin heart chipotle. The employees at this location are awesone

The food is good, but compared to other chipotles I've been too, they have very small portions. My tacos actually only had 4 slivers of cheese. I'll drive further to get my $$ worth

Very good, clean restaurant. Alex was one of the most polite workers I've ever had at a chipotle. I was interested in trying the new sofritas and he was nice enough to give me and sample and even brought out a free coupon for my next visit. I wish I could interact with people like Alex every restaurant visit. Not in terms of him giving us a coupon but in terms of his politeness.

Yay, Chipotle! In Colorado, home state of the original Chipotle! It's just like any other Chipotle, except they have a kid's menu (doesn't apply to me) and they have a wild rice option (I think this is something new they're testing out).

Ambiance: Modern and utilitarian semi-fast food restaurant. Order at counter. Plenty of seating, with a decent size patio for outdoors dining as well. Service: Line to counter can be long (especially during lunch rush), but moves rather quickly. Friendly but direct service. Assembly-line workers prepare your order in front of you (you tell them what condiments/sides you wish on your dish). For those in a hurry, you can use their form and fax your order in (or use their iphone app) and then cut in line and pick up your order as soon as you arrive. Food: This place is pretty darn good. Better burritos and tacos than many sit-down Mexican restaurants at half the price. Meats are marinated for hours, and are very tender and flavorful (not in some sort of soupy - sauce like some Mexican joints). The carnitas is especially good, but I also enjoy their chicken and steak dishes as well. The burrito bowls are good options for those that are watching carbs - you can order without the rice. They have both a favorable mild chunky salsa, and a great homemade hot sauce (for those that like a little heat in their Mexican food). Condiments include a corn salsa, onions, authentic Mexican white-cheese, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole). Overall, I hesitated to include a chain fast food type restaurant in my reviews, but after several disappointing Mexican experiences (see my other reviews), I enjoyed this meal much more than those from some sit-down "so-called" Mexican places. The food is super fresh and of high quality. For those looking for a quick and affordable bite (that is also fairly healthy and not grease-ridden) this place is A-OK in my book.

I LOVE chipotle. This particular restaurant is extremely stingy. I always have to ask for extra just for them to fill half the bowl. Other than that, everything is always cooked okay, and the staff here is very friendly.

Let me say I love chipotle but this location Has really changed in the last year or so. The chicken seems hard all the time and the rice extra oily. I have went 3 times In the 4 months and each time the food the Same. I will stick to the North Academy location.
